Walton-on-the-Naze is a traditional seaside destination with plenty to keep families occupied, from its sandy beach and long promenade to the pier, cafés and shops in the town. The main beach is close to the High Street, making it easy to combine time by the sea with lunch, an ice cream or a wander around the town.
The Naze is also nearby, offering a very different seaside experience with cliffs, open countryside, wildlife and coastal walks.

Are there toilets available?
Public toilets are available close to the main beach, including the facilities opposite Walton Pier. These include an accessible toilet and baby changing. There are further toilets around the seafront and town. A Changing Places facility is also available at Bathhouse Meadow, close to the beach.
Is parking available on site?
There are several car parks within walking distance of the seafront, including High Street, Church Road and Mill Lane. Blue Badge parking is available in the council car parks.
Is the venue accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs?
The main Albion Beach has a sloping entrance from the promenade, providing the easiest route for wheelchairs, mobility aids and pushchairs. There are also steps leading down to the beach. The promenade itself has a firm, paved surface and can be reached without using the beach, making it a good option for families who want to enjoy the seafront without going onto the sand. The Naze is less accessible. The beach is below the cliffs and the route down involves steps, with some uneven and natural ground around the wider Naze area.
Is there food and drink available?
There are plenty of places to eat and drink around Walton-on-the-Naze. A kiosk is located close to the main beach access, while further refreshments can be found around the pier and in the town centre. Families will also find cafés, takeaways, shops and places to pick up snacks within a short walk of the seafront.
Is the beach dog friendly?
The main Albion Beach is a dog-free area between May and September, apart from assistance dogs. Dogs should also be kept under control on the promenade.
