A popular Colchester country park known for its meadows, lakes and woodland walks. Nature-themed play areas sit deeper in the woods (refurbished and reopened December 2023) – a smaller one for toddlers and preschoolers and a larger one for school-to-junior age, with climbing frames, slides, a seesaw, swings and balancing equipment including a rope bridge. The ground here is naturally muddy and wet for much of the year. Blue Badge holders get free parking for up to 3 hours in any bay (no separate designated disabled bays).
