There is no children’s play area here. Regular bookable Forest School sessions run for home-schooled children, nature tots and family groups (via the Explore Essex website), plus free drop-in “Wild Wednesdays” during the August school holidays (11am-2pm, no booking needed, car park charges still apply). Two car parks (Lakes and Woods); toilets near the woods car park close between November and April, while the lakes car park toilets (with disabled access) stay open year-round.
