“A free, local play park in Rochford”
A large country park mixing woodland, open fields and streams, with a recently resurfaced, flat, accessible path suitable for bikes, scooters and buggies. Part of a connected woodland network including bluebell-filled Gusted Hall Woods (expect deep mud — wellies recommended). Good for dog walkers and picnics on the flat grassland. There is a rock climbing structure near the car park, but no children’s play area. Paid parking is tiered (30p up to 1hr, rising to £3 all day); a Costa Coffee sits opposite the car park, and there are no public toilets on site.
