A well-facilitied park near the city centre with football and cricket pitches, tennis courts, an outdoor gym and a bowling green, plus walking and cycling routes through the gardens, riverside and woodland. The enclosed playground has a large silver metal climbing frame with challenging climbs and a slide, two smaller climbing frames for toddlers with climbs, slides and monkey bars, and a steering wheel and speakers – equipment is a little dated but in good working order. A new cycle and scooter skills track opened at adjoining Tower Gardens for summer 2025. Free parking at the Tower Gardens car park (closes evenings, no overnight parking).
