A family day out with several beach-themed play areas; a new, more accessible Riverside play area opened September 2024, next to an older play area, separated by a small wooden bridge over a stream. Riverside walks along the River Crouch, on the Saltmarsh Trail, good for bird watching, with the seasonal Burnham Ferry to Wallasea Island a 10-minute walk away. Free car parking at Burnham Riverside Car Park (though charges may now apply).
