One of Chelmsford’s largest parks, home to Chelmsford Athletics Club and Chelmsford City Football Club, with tennis, netball, basketball, football and an athletics throwing area, plus woodland and a playground for all ages. For younger children: a climbing frame, ride-on toys and a roundabout. For older children: a geometric climbing cube, spinning frame, larger climbing frame and a well-regarded zipwire. Enclosed with benches and a small shaded seating area outside the gates. Free parking (though roadside on Melbourne Avenue is closer to the playground). Toilets exist at the sports pavilion but are not close to the play area.
