Leigh Library Gardens
“A free, local play park in Leigh-on-Sea”
Gardens and a playground surrounding Leigh-on-Sea library, just off the high street with estuary views, and steps down to Old Leigh’s shops, pubs and small beach. Small, fenced, metal playground for younger children – swings, a merry-go-round, climbing frame and balance apparatus – described as due a repaint but well located. Towards the estuary path there’s also a slide and climbing ropes for bigger kids, plus good climbing trees. Gardens maintained by volunteer group Friends of Leigh Library Gardens, with community food-growing beds from Incredible Edible LOS. On-street parking free for 2 hours; nearest car park Elm Road.
