“A free, local play park in Braintree”

A newer (2024) playground in Panfield village, a little tricky to find (access via an alleyway from Queens Garden, no car park – roadside parking only). Grass-based play area for all ages: a large climbing frame with two slides including an enclosed tube slide, a smaller climbing frame with slide for toddlers/preschoolers, a large pyramid climbing frame, ride-on equipment, a spinning pole and various swings including baby swings and a nest swing. Only inclusive equipment is a floor-level roundabout. Enclosed, with a playing field, football posts and basketball hoop alongside. No cafe on site; The Bell Inn pub with beer garden is a short walk away.
