Castle Park Playground
“Large park surrounding Colchester Castle”
A large central Colchester park, also home to Colchester Castle, with free entry. Facilities include a great playground, cafes, a traditional bandstand, boating lake and gardens, plus crazy golf and museums nearby. An enclosed sandpit play area has wooden ship themed equipment, sand diggers, climbing frames, slides, balance equipment, seesaw and wobble board, with seating around it. A second open playground next door has two ziplines, a large castle themed climbing frame with slides and rope climbs, and a spiral slide. Several types of swings cater for babies to teenagers.
