Maldon Carnival is celebrating a huge milestone this year – 130 years of carnival tradition – with its first-ever illuminated procession.
From 6pm, the streets of Maldon will come alive with dazzling lights, colourful floats, music and entertainment as the spectacular procession makes its way through the town.
The procession starts at the junction of Cross Road and Fambridge Road at 6pm, travelling along Fambridge Road and into the High Street. The Courts Majorettes and bands will finish in Lower Plume, while the floats will disperse in Cross Road.
Expect a lively community atmosphere, plenty of colour and a magical evening of carnival fun for families, friends and visitors.
Parking is available at Promenade Park, Butt Lane Car Park, White Horse Lane and High Street East. There are limited hard parking spaces available at the Promenade Park car park.
